Turn your computer into an airport check-in system and experience the buzz of working as a Passenger Service Agent. You will have the opportunity to check-in/board passengers using CODECO Computerised Check-In.
CODECO is KLM's 'Computerised Departure Control' system which is used for check-in, retrieva
l of passengers and aircraft information.
According to our research CODECO handles approx 110 million passengers a year worldwide, 87 million of who are processed on behalf of 55 third-party customers. CODECO DCS is used by 330 airlines at 280 airports around the globe.
The skills and knowledge you develop from this programme will prepare you to work in any airport worldwide using CODECO or any other computerised check-in system as check-in systems carry the same basic function and are designed around the same principle.
This course covers the basics of CODECO for check-in, for passenger retrieval and for flight information. It simulates a live system and consists of 4 sections:
1. Before Check-in
How to sign-in and use the CODECO system along with retrieving flight information.
2. The Check-in
Check-in basics.
3. Check-in Variations
Check-in irregularities.
4. Gate Handling
Boarding passengers in CODECO by Automated Boarding Control or Manual Boarding Control.
Practice Cases
Once you have completed the above 4 sections, there are four practice cases to be carried out.
Third Parties
Designed for those who use CODECO and are not connected to KLM's Computer Reservation System.
Final Examination
On completion of this course you are required to take a supervised examination to ensure you have a clear understanding of CODECO.
Structure: Lessons, exercises, 4 practice cases, controlled mock exam, controlled final exam.
Average Completion Time: 60 hours.
Fee: 425.00 EURO
Fee includes 70 hours of online training which is valid for 6 months and CODECO course book.
Award: CODECO Certificate in Computerised Check-In is endorsed by KLM, Servisair UK Ltd & IAOT.
